Safaris
The following is included in our Safaris. Transport will be in our Safari vehicle
Items to Bring
Good quality pair of sunglasses;Good quality water bottle; Comfortable T-shirts and two long-sleeved shirts; Shorts/skirts/trousers/slacks; Tracksuit; Comfortable walking shoes and good quality socks; Swimming costume; Sweater/anorak/parka for cold evenings; Binoculars, camera & film; Personal toiletries; A good flash light/torch; Visas (if req.), passport, money etc. it is recommended to take US$ in small notes. The guide will recommend how much to exchange along the route. International credit cards are accepted in most towns.; Light raincoat for summer rains (Nov-April); Basic medical kit to include: Malaria prophylactics, Anti-histamine cream, Aspirins, Elastoplast, Antiseptic cream or powder, Moisturising/suntan lotion, Insect repellent
Luggage
Due to the fact that African snipe operates mobile safaris, it’s imperative to control the weight and type of luggage transported.
For the normal Camping tours we prefer soft bags, but you can bring more luggage. Accommodated tours, suitcases are fine. Fly-In Safaris – Luggage is restricted to 20kgs per person in soft bag. Just talk to your consultant if you are unsure.
Luggage, excluding hand luggage (camera bag etc.) not to exceed 20 kilograms.
African snipe tours and safaris is a fully insured company, registered with the Namibian Tourism Board and has passenger liability insurance.
Group size and Transport
The maximum group size is 8 people in each car, plus guide and assistant, with a minimum number of 2. Transport is a minibus with a trailer for storing equipment.
